"Just reporting in finally after getting home from Mexico. It’s snowing and blowing here at home in Colorado!
Once again we had a fantastic time at your home. It truly feels like a second home to us. Jere had it all ready for us with food and also prepared a fantastic meal for us one night. I think he was pretty excited about the tools we brought him! The house is in great condition. There were only 2 things mentioned by our family about our stay: 1) it would be nice to have the support seats for the kayaks, us older people don’t have the core strength we used to! 2) Where in the world did the rooster come from? He pretty much crowed day and night. Our neighbors in Montrose have chickens/roosters also so we are used to it, but it would’ve been nice if they wouldn’t have started crowing at 3:30am…….. Other than that……it was a fabulous week! Please know your whole staff there do such a great job! Thanks again! Until next time!" "This is a beautiful house right on a magnificent, quiet beach. It was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 5 children (ages 5 - 3 years). The snorkeling in the bay is amazing. The house is a 15 minute drive to Tulum. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to escape in paradise. We are already talking about coming back next year."

"The place is just the best in the Riviera Maya, for those looking for a balance between snorkling the reef, a good marguerita on the beach and being close to everything to see in the Mexican Caribean."

"Outstanding access to beach & bay. Very helpful caretaker couple. Amenities and layout of casa a good match to our family group of 8. Would definitely consider a return visit."

"I would recommend Casa Yamulkan to anyone seeking a quiet, relaxing, vacation with friends and/or family. The casa is gorgeous, the property manager and staff are fantastic and we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks from our entire family!"

"We recently stayed at Casa Yamulkan for a week after Christmas. The pictures on the internet do not do the house justice. The ocean is only steps away from the house, and the natural decor, from the seashell decorations and lovely thatched vaulted roof, provide a beautiful and relaxing transition from outdoors to indoors. We ate breakfast and lunch on the patio at the big table looking out onto Solimon Bay, which we likened to a giant saltwater swimming pool as it is so shallow. We swam, took the kayaks out and truly enjoyed the beautiful and serene private beach. There is a very handy outdoor shower on the patio so the sand was able to stay outside where it belongs!
We love to cook so we were delighted with the very well equipped kitchen. The 'San Francisco' supermarket in Tulum was only a 10-minute drive and it had everything we needed. One night we hired Jerry, the caretaker/trained chef to cook for us and feasted on a delicious and very well priced authentic Mexican meal. We also used the barbeque for a fun night with our neighbours, dining on fresh fish bought from the market. The well cared for house was always lovely and cool with just the ceiling fans on while we were there. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms and showers spacious with lots of hot water, and the satellite TV handy for our son the sports fan! One bathroom had grilled windows and a door so we could leave all our valuables locked up while we were away at one of our day trips. We chose just a few of the many outings, as we were there primarily to relax on the beach and we want to save some things for our next visit! We had a great afternoon snorkeling in a nearby cenote and on another day drove to Coba to see the Mayan ruins. We have seen the ruins at Tulum on a previous trip, which I would also recommend." |
